Sanskrit Primer

The Primer, originally published in 1885 is based upon an excellent little work done by Professor Georg Buhler o Vienna: Leitfaden fur den Elementa cursus des Sanskrit, Wein, 1883. The author became acquainted with this work while in Germany and conceived of presenting the grammar in a more logical form.
The author thought it advisable to attempt a combination of Buhler’s practical exercise and William Dwight Whitney’s presentation of the actual structure of the language. To meet this the book was entirely rewritten for the use of the Sanskrit students and readers who wants to learn the Sanskrit language and it is hoped it will meet with the ready approval of the same.
