Reason and Revelation in Sikhism

In this book, the author has dealt with the role of Reason and Revelation in different religions like Hinduism, Christianity and Islam with skill and learning and her study of the basic tenets of these religions appears to be well grounded. She has cogently argued that Sikhism gives a permanent place to reason.

In the conclusion the author has developed her theory of relationship between Reason and Revelation and its place in Sikhism. It is good to note that Sm. Kaur has been able to synthesise the relation between Bani and Vichar and has been able to point out this, specialty, of the relation between Reason and Revelation in the context of Sikh religion.
She has tried to argue, with success to a substantial extent, that Bani which takes the place of Revelation in Sikh religion, does not eliminate the role of reason in religious life.
