Primer of Library Practice for Junior Assistants

The writers of this little Primer have for some time realized the necessity for a simple introduction to the study of library economy, written in a form that should be suited to the junior assistant.

The book has been written in the hope that it may meet this want. The authors have desired to place a handy guide within reach of the junior assistant, trusting that it will stimulate him to further improve himself in professional matters, and enable him to obtain some idea of the various systems with which he may come in contact Its main object is to serve as an easy introduction to the more advanced manuals with which the profession is already furnished.
