Encyclopaedia of Library Curriculum

These texts were prepared under the auspices of the American Library Association (A.L.A.) Curriculum Study at the University of Chicago and of the Editorial Committee of the A.L.A., to meet the needs of library schools and teaching departments for basic books on the principal subjects of instruction. The books represent efforts to contribute to the education of librarianship and to stimulate other studies of similar character. The texts are designed to make the task of librarianship more efficient in the technical side of their profession, and to aid them in securing the professional classification for the proficiency in library services.
