Educational Ideas on Kindergarten

The literature about Froebel is already extensive, and most of Froebel’s own writings are available to all. But there is a need for an extensive introduction and review of Froebel’s chief works, and this is the purpose of this book. It devotes specifically to those ideas of Froebel’s which have proved most fruitful as well as those which give the key to his characteristic way of looking at things. The author intends this book to be a guide for the application of Froebel’s principles underlying these methods to the work of the higher school classes, in constructing, that is to say, a workable “heuristic method.”
