Persian Painting

The author has tried in this short book to give an introduction to the study of Persian painting. The object has been, in the first place, to show how very well worth looking at are these Persian miniatures, and then to provide some guidance among the succession of schools.

But there is a freshness in the first treatment of any design which makes it particularly charming, as well as of value for the disentangling of origins.
